Welcome to I Love Red, a little blog about Yorkshire, walking, gardening, vacations and, most importantly, glass fusing (with a bit of sewing thrown in).

I spend my days designing and making fused glass gifts and  practical glassware for your home in my studio in The South Pennines. Living in this part of West Yorkshire means that I get to enjoy lots of long walks with the dog in some of the most inspirational moorland in the UK.

My glass fusing studio is very small and houses my kiln, grinder, work benches, sink and glass storage. I even manage to cram in a sewing area and library of books - mostly about crafts, glass and quilt making.  I am here most of the working day except when I pop out to make a cup of tea or check on what my family are up to!  

The Kiln

All my glass is designed by me and most of my ideas come from my love of textiles.  Glass and textiles have much in common, both are tactile, colourful and desirable. Glass makes the ideal gift for that hard-to-buy-for person, whether it's practical coasters or decorative lightcatchers that dangle in the window. I have two on-line shops - on Etsy and Folksy and you can also buy direct from me at local craft fairs and art markets.
